Lathrope, Carbondale, Pa.; lawyer (1848-1897); principal, Lackawanna Institute; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1858 and 1859 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1860 term; elected, District Attorney, mayor’s court, Carbondale (1862-1865, 1869-1871); elected, city attorney, Carbondale; elected, council, Carbondale; died, February 10, 1903 in Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
