WIGTON, Richard Benson, a Representative from Huntingdon County; born, November 23, 1818; owner and operator, various collieries; elected as a Republcan to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1859 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1860 term; engaged, coal shipping business (1863-1880); died, February 22, 1895 in Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
