McDONALD, John N., a Representative from Washington County; born, February 10, 1820 in Robinson Township, Washington County, Pa.; cattle farmer; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1853 term; reelected to the House as a Republican for the 1858 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1854 or 1859 terms; elected, delegate, Republican State Convention (1856, 1868, 1876, 1880, and 1884); elected, school director, Robinson Township; trustee, Washington and Jefferson College; died, May 23, 1889 in Washington County, Pennsylvania; interred, Raccoon Church Cemetery, Candor, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
