KENYATTA, Malcolm, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, July 30, 1990 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; graduated, Roxborough High School; B.A., public communications, Temple University, 2012; M.S., public communications, Drexel University, 2015; program coordinator, Tenet Healthcare, Hahnemann University Hospital (2013-2015); campaign manager, Cohen for Council (2015); senior coordinator or diversity and Inclusion, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce (2016-2017); elected, delegate, National Democratic Convention (2016, 2020); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 2018, 2020 and 2022; elected, delegate, Democratic National Convention (2016, 2020); appointed, Pennsylvania Statewide Suicide Prevention Task Force (2019-present); unsuccessful campaign, United States Senate (2022); presidential appointee, Presidential Advisory Commission on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Black Americans (2023-present).
