STEPHENS, Holloway Lord, a Representative member from Wayne County; born, May 3, 1824 in Orange County, NY; graduated, Ridgebury Academy, 1841; captain, Company D, 179th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); teacher (4 years); butcher; land surveyor; elected, surveyor, Wayne County; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1858 and 1859 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1860 term; lumberman; engaged, real estate; died, January 16, 1908 in Equinunk, Wayne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Stockport Cemetery, Stockport, Wayne County Pennsylvania.
