KENEAGY, Dr. Samuel, a Representative from Lancaster County; born, June 20, 1820 in Paradise, Lancaster County, Pa.; attended, Conestoga Institute; attended, Strasburg Academy; M.D., Jefferson Medical College, 1844; assistant surgeon, 15th Regiment, Pennsylvania Emergency Militia (1863, Civil War); physician; proprietor, pharmacy; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1858 and 1859; appointed, chair of Anatomy, Physiology and Hygiene, State Agricultural College (now Pennsylvania State University) (1868); ordained minister (1873, 1888); died, April 10, 1892 in Strasburg, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Strasburg Cemetery, Strasburg, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
