BARLOW, Adam Ryle, a Representative from Centre County; born, April 26, 1822 in Halfmoon Township, Centre County, Pa.; Methodist minister; clerk; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1859 and 1860 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1861 term; merchant; railroad agent; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1870); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1873); lumber merchant; died, June 26, 1895 in DuBois, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania; interred, Rumbarger Cemetery, DuBois, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.
