ELLMAKER, Nathaniel, Jr., a Representative from Lancaster County; born, September 18, 1825 in Earl Township, Lancaster County, Pa.; major, Commissary Department, United States War Department (1861-1865, Civil War: Washington, DC, Kentucky, Illinois); farmer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1858 and 1859; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1860); died, June 27, 1882 in Gap, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Bellevue Presbyterian Cemetery, Gap, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
