PINKERTON, Cyrus Levi, a Representative from Schuylkill County; born, August 22, 1826 in Halifax, Dauphin County, Pa.; private tutor; lawyer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1859 and 1860 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1861 term; appointed, colonel to Governor Andrew Curtain (1861-1865, Civil War); died, September 30, 1880 in Rantoul, Champaign County, Illinois; interred, Maplewood Cemetery, Rantoul, Champaign County, Illinois.
