MANN, Lewis, a Representative from Potter and Tioga Counties; born, October 1, 1813 in London Grove, Chester County, Pa.; land surveyor; elected, council, Coudersport (1856-1861); trustee, Coudersport Academy (1857-1858); elected, auditor, Coudersport (1857); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1859 and 1860 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1861 term; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Coudersport (1861); appointed, department clerk, United States Treasury, Washington, DC (1861-1887); died, July 15, 1889 in the city of Muscatine, Muscatine County, Iowa; interred, Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg, Butler County, Iowa.
