WITMAN, Marks D., a Representative from Dauphin County; born, February 1, 1823; beer bottler; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Berrysburg (1851-1853); tailor; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1858 and 1859; died while in office, December 25, 1859 in Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Peace Cemetery, Berrysburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
