COULTER, John W., a Representative from Armstrong and Westmoreland Counties; born, circa 1825 in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pa.; physician; elected, delegate, Democratic State Convention (1852); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Latrobe, Pa. (1853-1859); elected, burgess, Latrobe (1854); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1860 term; died while in office, October of 1860 in Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Unity Cemetery, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
