PROUDFOOT, Richard Jaazaniah, a Representative from Cambria County; born, August 26, 1798 in London, London County, England; farmer; seated as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1859 term as a result of contested election, February 3, 1859; reelected to the House to serve the 1860 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1861 term; died, November 27, 1872 in Lincoln Township, Scott County, Iowa; interred, Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport, Scott County, Iowa.
