SHEPPARD, Isaac Applin, a Representative of Philadelphia County; born, July 11, 1827 in Cumberland County, NJ; foundry apprentice, Warnock & Liebrandt; proprietor, Excelsior Stove and Hollow Ware Foundry (1859-1898); farmer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1859, 1860 and 1861 terms; not a candidate for reelection to House for 1862 term; board member, Northern Liberties Gas Works Company; vice president (1870-1884) and president (1885-1898), National Security Bank; elected, board of education, Philadelphia (1878-1888); died, March 6, 1898 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
