HECK, Dr. Lewis, a Representative from Dauphin County; born, 1810 in Franklin County, Pa.; physician; surgeon; engaged, farming and mining enterprises; owner and operator, steam sawmill (1843-1890); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1851); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1860; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1861); died, August 26, 1890 in Heckton, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Riverview Cemetery, Heckton, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
