ACKER, Isaac, a Representative from Chester County; born, May 14, 1821; merchant; farmer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1858, 1859, and 1860; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1861); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Atglen, Pa. (1889-1893); member, board of directors, Norristown Insane Asylum; died, July 14, 1906 in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware; interred, Great Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Malvern, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
