DUNCAN, William Cook, a Representative from Centre County; born, September 20, 1820 in Aaronsburg, Centre County, Pa.; merchant; member, board of directors, Lewisburg, Centre and Spruce Creek Railroad; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1861 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1862 term; elected, auditor, Lewisburg, Pa. (1865); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1873); president, Union National Bank (1878-1891); president, Union County Water Co.; died, April 8, 1891 in Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lewisburg Cemetery, Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania.
