McGONIGAL, John Randolph, a Representative from Armstrong and Westmoreland Counties; born, December 5, 1812 in Congruity, Westmoreland County, Pa.; store clerk and dry goods merchant (1830-1871); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the in 1860 and 1861 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1862 term; died, February 15, 1881 in Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Unity Cemetery, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
