GOEHRING, Charles Louis, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, December 10, 1818 in Alsace-Lorraine, Germany; confectioner; engaged in oil and natural gas industries; president, Consolidated Gas Company, Pittsburgh, member, Coleman, Hahm & Company, iron business; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1860 and 1861 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1862 term; United States Patent holder: thrill coupling, wood molding machine, and stave machine (1887); died, October 4, 1900 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Dale Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
