MYERS, James, a Representative from Lancaster County; born, November 25, 1820 in Myerstown, Lebanon County, Pa.; coal miner; pig iron manufacturer; owner and operator, Donegal Furnace (1847-1872); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1861; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1862); died, October 22, 1872 in Columbia, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Bethel Cemetery, Columbia, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
