HAPPER, John Arrell, a Representative from Washington County; born, October 1, 1816 in Union Township, Washington County, Pa.; attended, Jefferson College (now Washington and Jefferson College); farmer; elected, local school board; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1861 and 1862 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1863 term; died, November 11, 1890 in Union Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mingo Cemetery, Finleyville, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
