HARVEY, Chalkley, a Representative from Delaware County; born, 1814 in Pennsylvania; farmer; cattle breeder; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1861 and 1863 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1862 and 1864 terms; gubernatorial appointee, Commission to Investigate Milking Cows (1878); elected, director of the poor, Delaware County; died, October 21, 1882 in Chadds Ford, Delaware County, Pennsylvania; interred, Parkersville Friends Meeting Cemetery, Parkersville, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
