Twichell & Son, general store; co-founder, Edinboro Academy (now Edinboro University of Pennsylvania); member, board of trustees, Northwest State Normal School (now Pennsylvania Western University, Edinboro); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1861 and 1862; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1863); co-founder and president, Edinboro Savings Bank (1876-1884); died, September 10, 1890 in Edinboro, Erie County, Pennsylvania; interred, Edinboro Cemetery, Edinboro, Erie County, Pennsylvania.
