HUSTON, John Wilson, “J.W.,” a Representative from Indiana County; born, February 26, 1817 in Hustonville, Indiana County, Pa.; farmer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1863 term and a Union Republican to the 1864 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1865 term; founder, Pine Flats Academy; died, September 28, 1898 in Newport News, Virginia; interred, Harmony Cemetery, Penn Run, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
