BOWMAN, Dr. John D., a Representative from Cumberland County; born, May 2, 1832 in Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Pa.; M.D., Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College), 1856; physician; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1863 and 1864; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1865); died, March 6, 1888 in Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Camp Hill Cemetery, Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
