CROSLAND, John Marshall, a Representative from Schuylkill County; born, August 15, 1810 in Delaware County, Pa.; engaged, boat building; building contractor; landlord; proprietor, Diamond Drill, machine and tool manufacturing; musical composer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1866 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1867 term; unsuccessful Independent party campaign, United States Congress (1870); elected, justice of the peace, Pottsville, Pa.; died, December 30, 1892 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Presbyterian Cemetery, Pottsville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
