HERRON, Hanson Boggs, “Hans,” a Representative from Allegheny County; born, August 16, 1818 in Northern Ireland; captain, Allegheny Blues, Independent Company, Pennsylvania Militia; tanner; farmer; lawyer (1866-1890); elected as a Union Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1864 term; reelected to the House as a Republican for the 1865 and 1866 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1867 term; appointed, auditor, Allegheny County; died, April 15, 1890 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Dale Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
