JACOBY, Williamson Harrison, a Representative from Columbia and Montour Counties; born, September 29, 1832 in Bethlehem, Northampton County, Pa.; quartermaster sergeant, 178th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); engaged, printer’s trade; printer, Lycoming Standard; proprietor and editor, Bloomsburg Star of the North (1858-1866); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1864 and 1865 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1866 term; proprietor and editor, Columbia Democrat and Bloomsburg General Advertiser (1866-1867) and Bloomsburg Democrat (1867-1869); elected, recorder and register, Columbia County (1869-1882); employed, Milton Argus; employed, Scranton Tribune; editor, Nanticoke Sun; died, March 2, 1891 in Erie, Erie County, Pennsylvania; interred, Old Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania.
