WOOD, Day, a Representative from Lancaster County; born, August 7, 1812 in Little Britain Township, Lancaster County, Pa.; farmer and stockman; vice president, Lancaster County Republican Convention (1860); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1865 and 1866 terms; died while in office, prior to taking the oath, October 19, 1865 in Fulton Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Eastland Friends Burial Ground, Little Britain, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
