LEECH, James Alexander, a Representative from Butler, Lawrence and Mercer Counties; born, October 1, 1814 in Maryland; farmer; land surveyor; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1866; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1867); died, November 10, 1887 in New Lebanon, Mercer County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
