HARBISON, William Curry, a Representative from Butler, Lawrence and Mercer Counties; born, December, 1823 in Beaver County, Pa.; tanner, Reynolds & Harbison; farmer; justice of the peace, Shenango Township; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Shenango Township (1853-1866); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1866; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1867); deputy collector, Mercer County, Department of Revenue (1870-1884); collector, Beaver, Washington, Green, and Lawrence Counties, Department of Revenue (1873); agent, Harbison & Knox, insurance business (1877-1896); died, April 26, 1901 in New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Park Cemetery, New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
