SATTERTHWAITE, Edwin, a Representative from Montgomery County; born, October 25, 1818 in Montgomery County, Pa; farmer; horticulturalist; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1864, 1865, and 1866; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1867); president, Cheltenham & Willow Grove Turnpike Company; died, March 15, 1904 in Abington, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Abington Friends Cemetery, Jenkintown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
