KERNS, Edward, a Representative from Schuylkill County; born, 1812 in Ireland; farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1863 term; reelected to the House for the 1864 and 1868 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1865 and 1869 terms; railroad contractor; died, October 26, 1877 in Landingville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
