PATTON, Dr. Alexander, a Representative from Greene County; born, 1819 in Washington County, Pa.; graduated, medicine, Jefferson College (now Washington & Jefferson University); physician; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1863 and 1864 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1865 term; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1883-1884); died, December 5, 1884 in Jefferson, Greene County, Pennsylvania; interred, Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
