STOUT, Isaac, a Representative from Northampton, Pike and Wayne Counties; born, March 24, 1787 in Williams Township, Northampton County, Pa.; major, Pennsylvania Militia (War of 1812); farmer; saw mill operator; justice of the peace; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1835-1836 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1842); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Stouts Valley; died, January 5, 1857 in Williams Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Nisky Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
