WELLER, John, a Representative from Bedford, Fulton and Somerset Counties; born, September 15, 1819 in Southampton Township, Somerset County, Pa.; colonel, Pennsylvania Militia (circa, 1830s); farmer; elected, sheriff, Bedford County (1849-1852); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1866, 1867 and 1868; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1869); justice of the peace; died, January 11, 1876 in Milford Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Cemetery, New Centerville, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
