FOY, David, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Bristol, Bucks County, Pa., 1826; corporal, Company E, 20th Regiment, Pennsylvania Emergency Militia (1863, Civil War); elected, executive committee, Philadelphia (1857); board of managers, Citizens Volunteer Hospital; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1868 and 1869 terms; agent, Philadelphia and Reading Railroad (1870-1886); died November 25, 1886; interred, Ebenezer Methodist Episcopal Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania (defunct); removed to Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
