LONG, Franklin B., a Representative from Bedford, Fulton and Somerset Counties; born, January 19, 1830 in Somerset County, Pa.; captain, Company G, 54th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1861-1865, Civil War); dry goods clerk; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1870 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1871 term; street car conductor; died, April 4, 1891 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Cemetery, New Centreville, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
