LESLIE, Alexander, a Representative from Butler, Lawrence and Mercer Counties; born, July 20, 1820 in Allegheny County, Pa.; farmer; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1865); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1868 and 1869; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1870); died, August 6, 1883 in Middlesex Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania; interred, Bakerstown Cemetery, Bakerstown, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
