DEININGER, Jerome B., a Representative from Lebanon County; born, December 1, 1841 in Londonderry Township, Lebanon County, Pa.; attended, Palmyra Academy; private, Company E, 127th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); teacher; grain dealer; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Palmyra; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1869; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1870); superintendent, lumber mills, Palestine, Tx.; baggage agent, Texas Pacific Railway Company; died, April 29, 1883 in Palestine, Anderson County; Texas; interred, Evergreen Cemetery, Annville, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
