KREPS, Jacob Fordney, a Representative from Indiana and Westmoreland Counties; born, June 15, 1806 in Greencastle, Franklin County, Pa.; merchant; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Greencastle (1845-1849); engaged, foundry business; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1870 term, not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1871 term; Methodist preacher; died, May 4, 1888 in West Newton, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
