COMLY, Watson, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, December 17, 1809 in Byberry Township (now Philadelphia), Philadelphia County, Pa.; farmer; elected, school director; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1869; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1870); secretary and treasurer, Independent Mutual Fire Insurance Company; died, November 21, 1876 in Byberry Township (now Philadelphia), Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Byberry Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania
