STEPHENS, Almon P., a Representative from Susquehanna and Wyoming Counties; born, February of 1820 in Pennsylvania; merchant; freight agent; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1869 and 1870 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1871 term; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Great Bend, Pa. (1873-1882); farmer; justice of the peace.
