KERR, John Henry, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, December 12, 1842 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa.; graduated, Pittsburgh Central High School, 1860; lawyer (1867-1927); sergeant, Company I, 155th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1865, Civil War); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1870 and 1871 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1872 term; died, October 22, 1927 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Dale Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
