William A. Wallace; lawyer (1861-1889); chair, Elk County Democratic Committee; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1870 and 1871 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1872 term; elected, delegate, Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention (1872-1873); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1879-1886); counsel, Pennsylvania Railroad; counsel, New York Railroad; counsel, Lake Erie and Western Railroad; counsel, Rochester and Pittsburg Railroad; counsel, Union Oil Company; director, Ridgway Light and Heat Company; died, October 7, 1889 in Liverpool, Merseyside, England; interred, Pine Grove Cemetery, Ridgway, Elk County, Pennsylvania.
