MENHORN, Harry G., Jr., a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Cumberland, Allegany County, Md., August 16, 1921; graduated, Wilkinsburg High School, 1938; attended, Bethany College (2 years); graduated, pre-med, Baylor University; attended, Tulane University Medical School (1 year); attended, University of Pittsburgh; served, Field Artillery and Medical Corps, United States Army (1942-1946, World War II); design engineer, Koppers Company Incorporated (34 years); elected, commissioner, 8th Ward, Ross Township (1969, 1973); public safety director and chief labor negotiator, Ross Township; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1974; unsuccessful ccampaign for reelection to the House (1976); died, March 10, 2008 in McCandless, Alleghany County, Pennsylvania; interred, National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
