MILLIKIN, Dr. David Beale, a Representative from Franklin and Perry Counties; born, January 1, 1833 near Academia, Juniata County, Pa.; attended, Tuscarora Academy; graduated, medical department, University of New York, 1854; physician (1854-1908); commissioned, Surgeon General of Pennsylvania (1862-1863, Civil War); appointed, board of pension examiners, Perry County; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1869 and 1870; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1871); elected, delegate, Democratic State Conventions; director, People’s Bank, Newport, Pa. (1888-1903); director, Perry County Railroad (1891-1903); director, Duncannon National Bank (1893-1908); died, December 14, 1908 in Landisburg, Perry County, Pennsylvania; interred, Landisburg Cemetery, Landisburg, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
