BEARDSLEE, Edward Barton, a Representative from Susquehanna and Wyoming Counties; born, January 15, 1836 in Apolacon Township, Susquehanna County, Pa.; attended, Harford University; teacher; dry goods merchant and grocer; elected, school board; farmer; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Little Meadows, Pa. (1861-1870); justice of the peace; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1871 and 1872 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1873 term; insurance agent; died, February 23, 1933 in Little Meadows, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Little Meadows Cemetery, Little Meadows, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.
