McCONNELL, Robert A., a Representative from Greene County; born, October 29, 1826 in New London, Campbell County, Va.; attended, West Alexander Academy, 1845; graduated, Washington College, 1851; lawyer; elected, District Attorney, Greene County (1858-1864); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1871 and 1872 terms; member, Committee to Investigate Senator George Evans (1872); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1873 term; board member, Waynesburg College; died, June 25, 1894 in Angola, Steuben County, Indiana; interred, Green Mount Cemetery, Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania
