BOMBERGER, Jacob, a Representative from Cumberland County; born, January 28, 1827 in Lancaster County, Pa.; farmer; newspaper apprentice (1846-1848); co-owner, The Weekly News, Shippensburg (1848-1852); proprietor and publisher, Shippensburg News (1852-1854); established, book and stationary store (1852-1853); proprietor, Mary Ann Furnace, Shippensburg (1853); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1872 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1873 term; manager, Iron Works, Pulaski, Va.; died, October 8, 1891 in the city of Pulaski, Pulaski County, Virginia; interred, Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
